Can I come visit the chinchillas?
All of our chinchillas are in foster homes. We firmly believe that each and every chinchilla in our program should be treated like a personal pet at all times. We never want to have a situation where a foster chin isn't being nurtured or observed by being lost in the shuffle of having dozens in one place at one time. There are never more than 20 chinchillas in our program at one time, because that is what we can realistically handle and provide vet care, etc.
Since all chins are in foster homes, personal homes of volunteers and officers, our meet and greets are by appointment only. We will help you narrow down your options for upcoming adoption based on personality, special needs, etc. Afterward we would be happy to set up a time for you to come meet your prospective new chinchilla(s).
Fill out an application first! You won't have to settle on a specific chinchilla just yet, but it is important that we know a little about you... including name, address and phone numbers! Hey, it's only fair that we know this stuff since you will know where we live too!
